How is this Monk fans?
I am just posting this thread to ask a opinion, I don/t want any arguments, just hints/tips.
I only do healing as a Monk, I have alot of experience, and I was wondering if I was on the correct track do healing success.
Monk/Mesmer
Attributes:
Healing-16
Divine-13
Inspiration- (I have not put any into it yet, I will soon)
Armor: Droks Energy Tatoos
Runes:
Superior Rune of Vigor
Minor Rune of Healing
Minor Divine Rune
(I will update these soon also)
Weapon: Hale Holy Staff of Shelter, 22 Dmg.
( I never use this one, I forgot the one I usully use. It hales the chargeing time, and it is 22 Dmg though)
Skills:
Healing Touch
Heal Other
Healing Seed
Heal Party
WoH -Elite-
Energy Tap (Will get Inspired Hex)
Healing breeze
Orison
( I have more skills, duh, but this is what I usully equip. Depending on the area, I sometimes use Mend Ailment and others)
I need opinions please!
I do most of your healing with WoH, and breeze, and the others..and for Warriors I put seed on them.

Dwayna's Kiss? 5pt heal with bonuses if they're hexed or enchanted.
Also need a superior healing to get lvl16 in healing.

yeah get the scalp thats gives you +1 to healing and put a superior heal rune on it to get to 16 in healing prayers.my normal skill bar is
Word of Healing
Dwayna Kiss
Orision
vigorous spirit
healing breeze
heal other
heal party or mend ailment
resurect(only because ive seen alot of people not having a rez skill lately)
i use an insightful healing staff of fortitude which with my tatoo armor gives me 52 base energy. i also have the factions end game wayward healing wand with +5 energy and a normal +12 energy 20/20 healing focus for 54 energy. another weapon slot has the wayward wand and the +12/+15energy/-1 regen focus for that emergency energy and if things get bad on my 4th slot i have the -1 regen focus with a +15/-1 regen wand for even more energy, 79 total energy. but ill only switch out if for some strange reason my energy drops down to 10

What exactly do you need an opinion on? Common build with all the obvious skills except skills like healing breeze instead of dwayna's kiss or another energy management skill. This will do for PVE and thats seems to be the extent of what this is for. I'm still not quite sure what your expecting because there are a million threads like this one with 99% having the roughly same build.

take breeze out, it sucks :/
but beside, yeah, it looks good and should work fine.
and if you only use woh and breeze (which should be kiss or orison, or both), you can kick some others out for like, hex removal, condition removal, or a free signet like devotion. though, seeing as youll change energy tab for inspired hex, there you have your hex removal. :P so maybe..depending on the situation..meh
use whatever floats your boat, and dont try builds which you cant use.

Why don't people ever think condition and hex removal is necessary?
Also drop e.tap, it's an insanely long cast time for a very minor gain, It's barely useful on a mesmer with fast casting, let alone a monk.

If you want a pretty balanced build, use this one
Orison
Dwayna's Kiss
Heal Touch
WoH
Heal Party
Holy Veil
Mend Condition
Divine Spirit
16 Healing
13 Divine
Basically, if you arent spamming skills, you wont have energy problems. If you are spamming skills, use Divine Spirit..
HEALING BREEZE SUCKS, ALL OF YOU MONKS AND WAMMOS MUST LEARN THIS SOONER OR LATER. DONT EVEN USE MONK HEALING SKILLS ON WAMMOS. ARGH!!!1(RAGE)!!111!1!11
For those that dont know how Holy Veil works, cast it on someone that has a hex on him, and remove it right after

Because its a relatively small heal for a big cost and you dont get it when you want, you get it over time. End of story. Remove it from the game IMO.

it costs 10
it can be stripped
the casting time isnt too funny either
it does not heal for much
it will mostly heal when its too late
=> War has 50 health left
you cast Healing Breeze
War gets some pips..up to 70..he dies.
NOW, while he is dead, Healing Breeze WOULD heal ihm, but it wont, since he is dead.
=> you wasted 10 energy on a dead party member
so?
=> War has 50 health left
you cast WoH
War has 150 health left
War gets attacked
you use Woh again
War is at full health
Enemies are dead
=> you used 10 energy and they are still alive
... lol, i know this sucked, but its true =P its crap..only useful for farming, and running to an extend..

Heal other and WoH do the same job, don't really need the former if you have WoH

Sorry, but I must disagree.
If you cast Healing Breeze when someone is down below 50% of health, what on earth are you thinking?
Healing Breeze is to counter hexes/conditions (if you have no condition/hex removal).
Heal Other is not the same as Word of Healing. It is not an elite, it doesn't get better when the allie is less than 50% and it costs more. If you have a WHAMO with 800 life, you'll have to wait until the WHAMO is down to 400 life and then WoH will give a little bit (life bar picture). Heal Other you can cast before that. Both get bonuses from Divine Favor.
I would drop Healing Touch and Energy Tap. The maximum amount of attributes you can have in inspiration is 3. Not worth it. Drop Heal Party too, and pickup Vigorus Spirit, Mend Ailment, Rebirth.
You can survive without hex removal, but the best one is remove hex (divine favor heals as well). It costs the same as Holy Veil, has 1 second longer to cast, but 5 seconds less recharge time.
And yes, you need Superior Healing Rune in order to obtain 16 healing (with a +1 Healing Prayer head scar).
You can sub Remove Hex and take out healing breeze, but like I said, you can get away without a hex removal. But condition removal is a must.

breeze is worthless on a healers bar. if it cost 5 it would be different. but it does not. degen is rarely worth worrying about in pve. one quick 5 energy heal at 16 puts a pretty good damper on it.
remove hex is slow. with mesmer secondary he should at least take inspired hex. i'm glad to see he's planning on it. holy veil would be fine but i like the energy return from inspired/revealed.
i like the elite expel hexes in a healers build. you could drop woh and keep heal other.
i agree that you don't need word of heal and heal other. seed's not terrible. heal party is an energy sucker and seldom do i need to heal the whole party at one time. really hard missions maybe.
i also agree that dwayna's kiss is great to have. fits nicely with orison.
i'm glad the build has healing touch. heal touch is for you. it's your heal when things get tough. you would have to have a very very good reason to not fit it into your bar.
you can survive without hex removal. and condition removal as well. but why would you?

I have Inspired Hex now, and working on a Superior Rune. I hardly ever use breeze, I just usully do Heal other.
I have a Skelp design that is +1 Healing.
I have also been searching for a Brohns Staff/Rod.
I always bring 1 condition/ hex removal. I hate it when ppl freak out that they died and totall blame it on me. I only Rez when all enemies are dead.
I use Ribirth as Rez, should I use Dwaynas Light, or go back to Restore?
So I should get Dwaynas kiss insteed of Breeze then?
I usully dont need to use Orison, since I have Heal Other and my other ones.

If you take inspired hex, you will want to put some into inpsiration magic.. so you get the most energy per hex removal.
if you want a good staff, go out for a Scar Eater. 20/20, hp +60.
